Obligatory Johnny Cash Referance About Fire

Doing a little number crunching for Khador's favorite sneaky son, Strakhov when I found it.

I knew the potentcy of the Winter Guard had gone up dramatically with the inclusion of the Rocket troops.

Yesterday I noticed that the Assault Kommando Flame Thrower has a points listing exactly like the WGR.

[Manic Laughter] >:D

Oh, dearie dear.  I sense a lot of 8" Spray templates being used in the future!  BY ME!

Back In Ye Olde Saddle (Or "Please, sir. May I have some more [pain and suffering]?")

THE BLOG THAT WILL NOT DIE!

Gentle reader, did you think you were rid of me so easily?  ('Of course not,' I hear you murmur.  'After all, aren't you stoopid enuff to play Khador in the first place?')

Alas, 'tis true and where I have touched neither Cyanoacrilic Acetate, nor Spray Primer in perhaps a year, I did return to the world of tournament play this weekend last.  [GASP]

I know.  I find myself boggled about the whole thing as well.  So after a frantic search to scrabble up my models and dice, and scrape (literally) the dust off my gaming bag, I set a tentative foot inside ye LFGS for another beatin'.  Well, sort of.

I was not well versed on Mk. II, despite my lastminutecrash immersion.  I remember that I spent a lot of time flipping my Kodiak card over and over wondering what had happened to 'All-terrain.'  Even my dice seemed to have pity on me, for a change.

I won a 4 to 2 points split on time, and lost a 2-4 the same way, and lost 2 to caster kill.  The games I enjoyed the best were against Warmachine factions.  Every time against Hordes it went something like; "bite, claw, claw, buy an attack, buy an attack, buy an attack, buy an attack.  Dead yet?  No?  Buy an attack."

Overall, it was fun to be playing again.  Even losing can occasionally be instructive.

So what now?  Well, the ginormus pit that is my basement isn't much cleaner than it was when I spooed playing.  As always other projects will beg for time.  All-in-all, I think I may be back.
